Implementation of protocols in pet general practices: why and how?

Written protocols are essential to ensure consistency between the various veterinarians and staff (technicians, receptionists, etc.). They are also very useful for the integration of newcomers, as they describe precisely “how things are done here”. The author explains why protocols will improve the efficiency of the clinic and, to describe how to implement protocols for communication with cat owners, she uses the example of kitten consultation.
