Dr. Bockstahler studied for her veterinary degree in Vienna and then worked freelance in small animal practice for several years. She has headed up the service for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Vienna since 1999, and has specialized in the field since 2004, becoming a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner in 2007. She gained her Diploma from the American College for Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2016 and is also a European Veterinary Specialist in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, with her current research focused on canine biomechanics. She is a founding member and former president of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
