Marieke Knies

Marieke Knies graduated from Utrecht University in 2005. After spending some time in Australia as a vet, she started working in a first opinion clinic in 2007. In 2014 Marieke started working in the referral centre Anicura Diergeneeskundig Verwijscentrum Dordrecht in Dordrecht. She spends most of her time in the Emergency & Critical Care ward. Besides that, she sees a lot of feline patients, both first opinion and referrals. In 2016 Marieke was awarded membership of Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. At the end of 2016 she also received her master’s degree from the European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) Master program (subject: Internal medicine). Next to her work in the clinic, she enjoys lecturing about Feline Medicine for veterinarians and nurses.
