Dr. Lourenço obtained both her animal science and veterinary degrees at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), and remained there whilst researching for her PhD. She then completed an alternative residency in small animal nutrition at Ghent and Utrecht University. A recognized specialist, Dr. Lourenço is currently assistant professor at the School of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences of UTAD and is board-certified in veterinary nutrition by the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition.
